ANN ARBOR,[url=http://www.jdebug.net]Jimmy Choo Outlet UK[/url], Mich., Sept. 4 () -- The Battery and Power Systems Division of Arotech Corp. is supplying additional Soldier Wearable Integrated Power Equipment System, or SWIPES, units to the U.S. Army under a $4 million follow-on contract.SWIPES is a lightweight, enhanced charging system, with battery chargers and power cables in a pouch for use with GPS units, shot-detection systems and handheld communications.The SWIPES batteries continuously charge secondary batteries inside the various devices carried by the soldier and is worn in a vest."We're very pleased to win this additional order from the U.S. Army, reflecting the product's increasing acceptance among U.S. ground forces," said Arotech Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Robert S. Ehrlich. "The fact that they repeatedly choose our SWIPES system as well as awarding it a 'Top-Ten Best Army Inventions' upon its launch, is testament to the effectiveness and the value our product adds."Since developing the SWIPES product, we have realized over $6 million in sales from the U.S. Army."Arotech gave no details on the number of units ordered or their delivery timetable. |
