The piece taped yesterday after the show definitely had an interesting flair to it. As we all know Ellen loves animals. She has been a huge animal supporter in every aspect so seeing her sitting next to a flank of meat was awkward at best.
Ellen just released a statement about the entire interview using some soft words for a big issue:

Frankly if Ellen loves animals as much as she does,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], she should have really worded this much stronger. It isn't okay if only Lady Gaga is acceptable to be parading around with a flank of meat and nobody else. This is a double standard and isn't like Ellen at all.
If it bothered her as much as she stated,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], she could have asked Gaga to remove it and not felt ashamed. Respecting other peoples feelings especially after such an over the top stunt is what Lady Gaga is promoting every waking hour. If Ellen was too uncomfortable to ask,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], then this obviously was a publicity stunt to the maximum by Lady Gaga.
