Bryson Dominates Division
By Pete Schnatz, converse enfant, Special to The InquirerPosted: August 18,nike air jordan, 1988
It seems like no matter where you turn these days, jordan pas cher, there's a Germantown Academy swimmer making headlines. grad and Southern Cal 200 and 400 individual medley collegiate champion, heading for the Summer Olympics in Seoul, South Korea. Olympic swim team's coaching staff.
Even last weekend in Wilkes Barre, site of the Keystone State Games Pennsylvania's version of the Olympics there was a Germantown Academy swimmer making a splash. this fall, chaussure air jordan pas cher, dominated the girls' seventh to ninth grade division of the swim competition. She set two Keystone Games marks, claimed three gold and two silver medals and was awarded a pair of ribbons for competing in two other relay events.
"This was my only big meet of the summer," Bryson said. "It's nice to see that all my practice is paying off."
Bryson captured two golds with Keystone Games record setting individual medley times in the 400 (4 minutes, 58.42 seconds) and 200 (2:20.50), and went on to win a silver in the 200 freestyle. She also won two medals in freestyle relays, converse enfant pas cher, a gold in the 200 and a silver in the 400.
The 14 year old Bryson, hogan outlet, who has been swimming competitively for seven years, practices plenty. swim team for the 1992 Olympics. The rewards aren't always weighed in medals either.
"Mr. Over the last year, Wynne and Richart have won a Catholic League championship and two Keystone State Games gold medals.
The Southeast scholastic (grade 10 11) girls' soccer team won its second consecutive gold medal under the direction of Richart on Sunday in Wilkes Barre, and Wynne was there with a goal in the 3 0 title clinching victory over the East.
"It helps to play for a coach that you know so well," said Wynne, 17, who will be entering her senior year at Wood next month.
The experience also helped Wynne get ready for this season, mulberry bags outlet.
"It was neat to meet players from schools like Little Flower, Ryan and St. Hubert's," Wynne said. "It gave me a chance to see players from teams we're going to face and find out what their tendencies are."
The Southeast open (grade 12 and over) women's field hockey team had to be considered a favorite entering this year's Keystone Games. After all, with Ambler's Jane Catanzaro, hogan, you're almost assured of a gold medal.
In her fourth trip to the Keystone Games, Catanzaro, 20, added a third gold to her medal collection, which also includes a silver.
Playing at left inside, Catanzaro an Upper Dublin grad and sophomore at Temple University continually pushed the ball up field, forcing defenses to react with caution to her every move. In a 10 0 wipeout of the West on Saturday, converse femme, Catanzaro scored a hat trick and kept her Southeast teammates hungry for more.
"We have a young team, which is good because that means you have fresh legs," Catanzaro said. "I guess I'm becoming a fixture on the team, air jordan 3, but I don't think I'm getting too old to be productive."
Not by a long shot, air jordan pas cher.
On a basketball court, Ernie Koschineg is used to running an offense. As the point guard for La Salle High's freshman team last season, the 5 foot, mulberry bags, 10 inch Koschineg was voted most valuable player, mainly because of his passing expertise.
Last Saturday in Scranton, however, Koschineg earned a silver medal for a role that was totally foreign to him he shot his way to the top.
Koschineg, 15, of Lafayette Hill, poured in 54 points in four games, including a 21 point outburst that carried the Southeast region junior male (10th 11th grade) squad past the East, 81 64.
"I think the move to shooting guard helped make me a better player," Koschineg said. "The experience should make it easier for me to know when and where the shooting guard wants the ball."
Koschineg says he hopes his next move will be directly to the La Salle varsity.
"Two point guards from last year are gone," Koschineg said. "One graduated and another moved away, so maybe there's a chance for me."
Twelve year old Tricia Ventresca of Roslyn brought home a gold medal from the Keystone Games, thanks to her victory in the girls' 12 and under 5 mile road race last Saturday.
Ventresca remembers the 101 degree heat, the lack of adequate water supply for the runners and a tough course that tired her like no other race she had run. But for Ventresca, who won the race with a time of 40 minutes, 58 seconds, the medal and the race conditions weren't the most important result of her trip.
