Having never been in a hotel without my parents before, I left over 300 euro on the nightstand thinking it would be safer there than if I was carrying it with me. When we returned that night it was gone. When I went to the front desk staff they told me that the cleaning woman had probably assumed it was a tip. I asked them to give her my apologies and let her know it was not a tip and I needed the money back. They refused.
